The RESCU Program consists of eleven projects which constitute full replacement and rehabilitation of SVCW’s conveyance system. This $550M program is parsed into three packages: the Front of Plant (FoP) Improvements, the installation of a Gravity Pipeline (GP) Tunnel, and the rehabilitation and renovation of three pump stations and one force main (PSI). Work is being implemented under a Progressive Design-Build procurement process.

The Front of Plant Project consists of the design, construction, permitting, start-up, commissioning, and closeout for a 105-foot deep Receiving Lift Station (RLS), Headworks Facility, Odor Control Facilities, Influent Connector Pipe, Chemical Offload Facilities, Civil site work, Emergency Overflow pipe to storage basin and related process support systems.

Gravity Pipeline Tunnel project consists of the design, construction, permitting, connections to the existing conveyance system at two locations, start-up, commissioning, and closeout of an approximately 3.5 mile, 16-foot diameter concrete-segment lined tunnel using a Herrenknecht Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) shield tunnel boring machine (TBM) and a two-pass tunnel lining

This project includes the rehabilitation and renovation of three raw sewage pump stations and one force main.
