This project includes the rehabilitation and renovation of three raw sewage pump stations and one force main. The pump stations include the Menlo Park Pump Station (MPPS), Redwood City Pump Station (RCPS), and Belmont Pump Station (BPS). The force main rehabilitation is approximately 4,600 feet of 24-inch and 54-inch pipe along Shoreway Road in the Cities of Belmont and San Carlos. The project is bounded by private development, includes public utilities, and is located along highway 101. Flows from the Cities of San Carlos and Belmont enter the gravity pipeline via a drop structure and flows from the MPPS and RCPS travels through the new 48-inch force main to a drop structure at Inner Bair Island. Work is implemented under a Progressive Design-Build procurement process.
