The City of Mountain View’s Sewage Pump Station collects approximately 85 percent of the City’s wastewater and pumps it to the Palo Alto Regional Water Quality Control Plant. This project includes improvements to correct operational deficiencies, comply with current codes and standards, and enhance pump station safety. The long-term repairs consist of the replacement of four sets of steel discharge pipes, related buried piping, an inlet slidegate, a concrete structure with ventilation system, and electrical controls. Citical project elements included startup, testing, and commissioning for all electrical, mechanical, and piping system; site restoration; and a temporary sewer bypass.
