Client

California Water Service

Location

San Carlos, CA

This project included the installation of two new water storage tanks located within a residential neighborhood. The 400,000 gallon tanks were completed in parallel and were similar in design to a DN tank without the post-tensioning element. Project components included grading, earthwork, retaining walls, fencing, asphalt pavement, drainage improvements, piping, fittings, tank, footings, valves, and appurtenances. New ductile iron piping were installed to connect to the distribution system utilizing EBAA Flex-Tend Flexible Expansion joints that were designed to protect water pipeline systems from the stresses produced by ground motion and specifically allows for differential movement during seismic events.
